Fashion Flash – Spring Forward – February 1, 2007

Dear Clients and Friends,

The weather outside may be cold and snowy, but I am ready to share spring fashion trends with you.  On Saturday I "ran away" to NYC to see what is being featured in the designer departments and boutiques plus do some comparison shopping.  Of course I took time to have lunch with my son.

Here is what you will be seeing and maybe wearing in spring 2007!

    1.  Wide leg pants and jeans - think Cher - great for women who

              can't do the skinny leg pant!  Be sure to pair them with a

              close fitting top for balance.

        2.  A day clutch - a change from those huge bags and purses 

        3. Shorts

        4.  Bold, bright colors

        5.  Metallic - gold continues, but silver is very important

        6.  Volume - tops with puffy sleeves

        7.  Skirts

        8.  Lucite - chunky jewelry

        9.  Dresses

10.  Capris ( they won't go away!!!)

11.  Embellishments, beading, crochet

       12.  On the shoe scene - patent leather is BIG, wedges

             continue with cutouts being a new look.  Consider

             adding ballet slippers in one or more fun colors.
